Walmart, Kroger, Safeway – the biggest alumns from the biggest retail chains in the U.S. are slated to close the final session of the United FreshMKT conference in Chicago.

The conference is scheduled for Monday, June 25 in Chicago.

Reggie Griffin, formerly of Kroger, Bruce Peterson, formerly of Walmart, and Dick Spezzano, formerly of Safeway/Vons plan to share their views on landmark changes in the industry, and how they are shaping our current retail landscape.

They provide unique insight from their careers in produce, said Mary Coppola, senior director of marketing and communications for United Fresh, but they’re also sharing strategies from their post-retail careers.

“They’ll also share noteworthy trends that they now encounter while serving as strategic advisors to both produce marketers and retailers across the country,” Coppola said.

United FreshMKT and FreshTEC are concurrent conferences held in conjunction with the United Fresh Show, which also includes the International Floriculture Expo, SmartFood Expo, and Global Cold Chain Expo scheduled for June 25-27 at McCormick Place in Chicago.
