Tostitos and Avocados From Mexico are teaming up on in-store promotions around Cinco de Mayo.

The name of the campaign will be Your Cinco Starts Here, said AFM senior market development director Stephanie Bazan.

“Through our partnership, AFM will be featured on the pack with a SalsaGuac recipe to inspire consumption of guacamole and chips,” Bazan said. 

“In addition, in an effort to drive sales, a joint savings offering will be featured on Tostitos bags that will be complemented with joint display activity to ignite impulse purchase.  

“Multiple joint displays have been developed to inspire ‘guac and chip’ cross-merchandising efforts in and outside of produce,” Bazan said. 

“We are extremely excited to be partnering with Frito Lay’s Tostitos brand this Cinco as this will elevate guacamole during the second largest avocado consumption time period in the U.S.”

This is the first time AFM has partnered with Tostitos on a promotion.
