Courtesy Taylor Farms Retail Taylor Farms Retail Inc. has voluntarily recalled 110 cases of romaine hearts as a precaution against listeria contamination.
The product, labeled Taylor Farms Hearts of Romaine, comes in 10-ounce bags with a Dec. 13 expiration date.
A random package sampled by the Food and Drug Administration tested positive for listeria. No illnesses have been reported.
Salinas, Calif.-based Taylor Farms cooperated with the FDA and the California Department of Public Health on the recall, according to a news release.
The romaine hearts have a Universal Product Code of 030223040323 and a package code of TFRS332A09.
