Kroger Co. appoints VP of produce and floral

Miskimins The Cincinnati-based Kroger Co. promoted Joe Miskimins to vice president of produce and floral, effective Nov. 2.

Miskimins succeeds Reggie Griffin, who retired from the company effective Oct. 29.

Miskimins previously served as vice president of merchandising for the company’s QFC banner since 2009, according to a company news release. Miskimins reports to Jeff Burt, Kroger’s group vice president of perishables.

“Joe is a strong leader who is passionate about delivering the best products and services to our customers, and he has the expertise to deliver,” Burt said in the release.

Miskimins’ career at Kroger stated in 1980 in the company’s Cincinnati/Dayton division. He previously has positions in store and district management, produce merchandising and area produce merchandiser and floral director at the company’s general office in Cincinnati.

Good Luck in your new spot! Reggie and I were on the Board of Directors with United a few years back and had so much fun helping this be a greater industry than it already is.
You will do well. The Kroger Co. will see to that.
